My work uses the medium of ceramics to generate artistic objects. I adapt Origami techniques to make animal forms in my Zodiac sculptures, each one reflecting a cultural representation of human characteristics. I adorn my teapots with the graceful shapes of birds and flowers. In my Biblical Scenes pieces, I again use the same ceramic medium to create artistic renditions of biblical events.

Zodiac Sculptures

Origami is known to help people of all ages, including the young and the old. It helps develop vital skills in children and provides therapeutic relief for adults and the elderly. Origami can be emulated in clay through hand-building techniques that substitute clay slabs for sheets of paper.

Teapots

Inspired by the graceful forms of birds and flowers as depicted in Eastern arts, I incorporate features of birds and flowers in the design of my teapots, thus converting the teapots themselves into artistic representations of birds and flowers.

Life often feels like a journey through a desert with no inkling of lies ahead. The Pillars of Cloud and Fire may help the weary traveler to know that His presence and guidance are always there awaiting him or her.
